We played the zombie mode and we emerged sweatily and out of breath, promising to never sleep again. Here are top things no one’s going to tell you about the Zombie mode in the PUBG Mobile 0.11.0 update.
PUBG Mobile servers recently went down for maintenance this week. The reason for this move was to push a number of fixes and also to upload the latest update on PUBG servers. The latest update which was uploaded was widely awaited as PUBG was bringing the intense zombie mode event which was already speculated over a thousand times on various online sites, video streaming, and the release of the beta version as well. The zombie mode also called as Survive till Dawn event is an event which is played on the map Erangel and will be available for a limited time period only.
However, there has been enough discussion about what the new update has, new details in the gameplay and such but then we played the zombie mode and we emerged sweatily and out of breath, promising to never sleep again.
Upon starting the game, you can choose which mode of the game you want, in this case, its the Survive till Dawn mode, and click on start. You can play in squads, dual-players, and solo gameplay as well. After you are at the takeoff, you can immediately sense the changes. There will be fog and there will be no daylight, somewhat cloudy. After you are air-dropped on the island, the procedure is pretty much standard like you need to run from houses to houses to find loot, armour, ammo, helmets, backpacks and such. The gameplay is the same apart from those zombies and boss monsters. Other rival players will still try to shoot you. But if you manage to stay hidden for the initial wave, you will be fine. There are only 60 such players who are airdropped, and after the first wave of zombies, the number drops to half.
The first wave of zombies is during the daytime and the zombies look pretty easy to shoot at. We took out 18 zombies with the S1897 shotgun alone, however, the main problem came when night fell. Fog crept in rendering visibility to close to zero, and the zombies became more and more aggressive. However, aggressive was not the main problem, the zombies started getting faster. That zombie which was lumbering around before the fog onset now runs at full speed with arms outstretched. (we so dead!)
There are different kinds of zombies – cop zombies, fat zombies, zombies which can spit acid, and others which swipe at you until you are knocked out and eventually die.
The zombie mode in the game this time truly does shake you as you scramble to pick up bullets, load guns, restore health, pick up ammo with zombies scratching and swiping at you all the while. We learnt that once the zombie horde seems impossible with your less than half health meter, RUN!
